Kingdom Harvest Films is a Christian motion picture production company based in Houston, Texas. Founded by Alexander E Phillip, KHF develops cinematic Christian films for mainstream audiences. Our purpose is to create exceptional movies that ultimately point people toward Jesus Christ.
For us, Christian cinema begins with a view of people: made with dignity, capable of love and courage, yet marked by sin and in need of redemption. That conviction shapes the stories we pursue and the care with which we intend to tell them. It is more than a category on a streaming service. It is a responsibility to both the truth and the audience.
Why make Christian films for mainstream audiences?
Many people who would never choose a church service will choose a film. They come for a compelling character, a difficult choice, a world worth entering, or a question that will not leave them alone. We want to meet those viewers with stories that deserve their attention.
Christian movies can encourage people who already believe. Our particular calling reaches further: toward secular and nonbelieving audiences beyond the traditional Christian market. We do not assume that viewers share our vocabulary, convictions, or answers. We want the human experience on screen to be recognizable, the questions honest, and the invitation to hope clear.
This audience strategy does not make our faith incidental. Jesus Christ is the reason Kingdom Harvest Films exists. Read more about our mission and the personal testimony behind our founder’s calling.
Biblical truth and the demands of cinema
We believe biblical conviction and mainstream-quality filmmaking belong together. A worthy purpose does not excuse an unconvincing performance, a predictable scene, or a story that has not earned its emotional ending. Writing, direction, cinematography, editing, music, and sound must work together in service of the film.
Our ambition as Christian filmmakers is to build characters whose decisions matter. A film should give viewers room to recognize a failure, wrestle with a consequence, and feel the cost of a choice. We want truth to emerge through an engaging dramatic experience, with the clarity and craft that serious cinema requires.

Brokenness without glorification
Stories about redemption must acknowledge what needs redeeming. Betrayal, pride, grief, injustice, and moral failure are part of the human condition. Portraying brokenness honestly is different from celebrating it. We seek to show the consequences of sin without making its destruction an object of admiration.
That distinction calls for discernment in every creative decision. What does a scene reveal about a character? What does it ask the audience to celebrate? Does it deepen the story, or merely provoke? We want the choices on screen to carry moral and emotional weight.
Redemption that means something
Forgiveness does not make an injury imaginary. Sacrifice does not come without loss. Hope becomes powerful when a story takes suffering seriously. We are drawn to the tension between what a person has done, what it has cost, and whether a new beginning is possible.
Faith based films can explore those questions with both honesty and purpose. Our ultimate hope is rooted in Jesus Christ, rather than the idea that human determination alone can repair every wound. The films we develop should open space for conversations about repentance, grace, forgiveness, and the possibility of redemption long after the credits end.
